ABSTRACT

Dengue is a mosquito-transmitted virus and the leading cause of arthropod-borne viral disease in the world. Clinical manifestations can vary from asymptomatic disease to severe illness and death. Dengue is also known to cause myocarditis, hepatitis, and neurological manifestations, and rarely to cause splenic rupture. We report a 34-year-old man with splenic rupture complicating dengue fever which was managed conservatively with excellent outcome.
